Who you are booking

Hi, I am Raffy

I braid out of a quiet home studio near Wilson and Dufferin. No music blaring, no six people waiting, no rushing you out of the chair. Just one client at a time and enough hours to do the work properly.

My rule is simple, and it is the reason people come back: I braid to protect, not to pull. If a style is going to stress your edges or your hair is not in a state to hold it, I will tell you before you sit down rather than after. Sometimes that means talking you out of the style you came in asking for. I would rather do that than hand you something that looks good for a week and costs you your hairline.

Prices are on this page because you should know what you are paying before you get here. The policies are written out for the same reason.

How to lock in your date

Send your request. Choose your style, date and time and send it over on WhatsApp.

Send the $50 retainer. Interac e-Transfer to [email protected], then send proof of payment on WhatsApp.

Your date is held 6 hours. If the retainer has not arrived by then, the slot is released and someone else can take it.

You get a confirmation. Once the retainer lands I accept your booking, and the exact studio address is sent to you.

Balance on the day. Cash only, paid at your appointment.

A few things before you book

None of this is here to catch you out. It is here so we both know exactly where we stand. Sending a retainer means you are happy with all of it.

How to come

Clean, dry, product-free hair. I know it sounds fussy, but it's the difference between braids that sit beautifully for weeks and braids that slip in ten days.

  • Wash it, dry it fully, and leave the products out — no oils, creams, grease or leave-in on the day.
  • I'll blow-dry you out for free when you arrive. That part's on me. Coming clean is the part I need from you.
  • I can't braid on dirty or product-heavy hair. If you arrive that way I have to cancel, and the retainer stays with me.
  • Hair needs to be around 4–6 inches to hold the style you're asking for.

Holding your date

A $50 retainer is what turns a date you like into a date that's yours. Until it lands, the slot is still open to everyone else.

  • Nothing is confirmed until the retainer arrives — I'll message you the moment it does.
  • I hold a requested date for 6 hours. After that it goes back up automatically.
  • The retainer isn't refundable and can't be moved to someone else.
  • If you cancel, the retainer stays with me. That's what it's there for.
  • Rescheduling means a new retainer for the new date.
  • The rest is cash, paid on the day.

If plans change

I get it, life happens. But a late cancellation is a chair I can't fill, and a day I turned other people away for.

  • Cancel within 48 hours and the retainer stays with me.
  • Same-day cancellation, same thing.
  • If you don't show at all, I may ask for the full amount upfront next time.
  • Real emergencies are real. Talk to me.

Running late

Braiding takes hours. If you start late, everyone booked after you finishes late.

  • $5 for every 15 minutes past your time.
  • Thirty minutes with no word from you and I have to release the slot — retainer stays with me.
  • If lateness becomes a habit I may shorten the style or turn the appointment down.

Be honest about your hair

Not every style suits every head of hair, and I'd rather tell you that now than have you sitting in my chair disappointed.

  • Tell me about breakage, thin edges, thinning, bald patches, uneven length or a sore scalp. None of it is embarrassing — it just changes what I'd recommend.
  • I might ask for a photo before I confirm.
  • If something turns up on the day that I didn't know about, I may need to change the style, charge more, or decline the service.
  • If I can't go ahead because of something undisclosed, the retainer still stays with me.

I'd rather send you home with honest advice than braids that damage your hair. That's the whole reason I do this.

Things people ask

How much do knotless braids cost?+

Plain knotless starts from $180 for large mid-back. Boho knotless runs from $220 for large mid-back to $400 for small bum length. Braiding extensions are not included — bring your own or buy from me on the day. Curly hair for boho is separate: mixed $50 per pack, human $130 per bundle.

How much is the deposit?+

A $50 non-refundable retainer secures your appointment, by Interac e-Transfer to [email protected]. Your booking is not confirmed until it arrives, and requested dates are only held 6 hours. The balance is cash on the day.

How should I prepare my hair?+

Freshly washed, fully dried and completely product-free — no oils, creams, grease, leave-in conditioner or styling products. A complimentary blow-dry is included, but hair must still arrive clean. Minimum length 4–6 inches.

What happens if I cancel or reschedule?+

Retainers are non-refundable and non-transferable. Cancelling within 48 hours forfeits the retainer, and rescheduling requires a new retainer to secure the new date.

What if I arrive late?+

A $5 late fee applies per 15 minutes. After 30 minutes with no contact the appointment is cancelled and the retainer forfeited.

Do I need to bring my own extensions?+

That is up to you. Extensions are not included in the price — bring your own, or buy them from me on the day. Just tell me which when you book. A blow-dry is included with every style.
